Esthetician Training Program
We have streamlined the training process to cater more specifically to the needs of estheticians. The Esthetician Training Program offers Estheticians the best available education in the original Dr. Vodder method of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD). Our teachers have a passionate, caring focus that will help you to realize the best possible outcomes for your clients.
The courses are open to licensed Estheticians who have graduated from a practitioner training program.
Basic and Advanced Neck and Face courses
The 2 -day Basic Neck and Face classroom course is a combination of theory and practical. The theory part of the course covers the history of MLD, anatomy and physiology, indications and contraindications of MLD. The practical part of the course covers the original basic Dr. Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) strokes and their application to the neck and face with a focus on esthetic treatment of healthy skin. Successful completion of the Level 1, 2 1/2 -day Neck and Face course and exam enables continuation to the 2 1/2-day Advanced Neck and Face course.
The 2 ½ -day Advanced Neck and Face classroom course focuses on applications including MLD for pre- and post- cosmetic surgery, scar treatment and dermatological indications such as acne and skin care. Successful completion of a practical exam enables certification from the Dr. Vodder Academy/School – International.
Basic and Advanced Body courses
The foundation course is Level 1 Theory and Practical. The Level 1 Theory component is an easy-to-follow, online PowerPoint slide format prepared by physicians from the Dr. Vodder Academy. Theory is adapted to the requirements of an esthetician. All students entering our training program will take this component first. This includes study, reading and an exam which should take between 20 – 45 hours to complete. It is available in English, German, French, Italian, Mandarin and Japanese. Successful completion of the exam enables continuation to Level 1 Practical 4-day Basic Body course.
The 4-day Basic Body classroom course is taught in 32 hours. It covers the original basic Dr. Vodder MLD strokes and their application to each body part including neck, face, arms, legs, nape, back, buttocks, chest and abdomen with a focus on esthetic treatment of healthy skin. Successful completion of the Level 1, 4-day Basic course enables continuation to the 4-day Advanced Body or 2 ½ -day Advanced Neck and Face course.
The 4-day Advanced Body is taught in 32 hours and focuses on improving, upgrading and advancing the esthetician’s skills and knowledge. Additional MLD techniques are given for the face treatment. Applications also include MLD for pre- and post- cosmetic surgery, scar treatment, cellulite, liposuction, weight reduction, dermatological indications such as acne and skin care. Successful completion of a practical exam enables certification from the Dr. Vodder Academy/School – International.
