As you may be aware, we are in the process of restructuring of our training program. For more information about the new program that we intend to begin in 2020, please go to this link:
Health Care Professional New program structure .
To give you as many possibilities as we can for you to complete the training, the instructor has agreed to offer this class as a Level I rather than a Basic class.
In the Level 1 class, you will receive training in all the Dr. Vodder Basic MLD manual techniques and sequences, as you would in a Basic class. The class will still be 5 days, just like the Basic with some time to review theory. The difference between Basic and Level 1 is that there is an online theory component.
By taking the Level I class, you are able to continue to the Level II Applied MLD class which focuses on the non-lymphedema applications of MLD such as orthopedic injuries, whiplash, stroke, epicondylitis and more. These will not be taught in a Level III class. You may also continue from Level 1 to Level III which will enable you to become a Dr. Vodder certified lymphedema therapist but not certified in all the other applications for MLD.
